About this Course
Core vocabulary consists of the most frequently used words in our lexicon. In this course, three preschool teachers provide examples of how they incorporate core vocabulary into daily instruction. Start early – and begin with core!

Participants will be able to:
- Define and identify core and fringe words.
- Highlight a variety of ways preschool teachers can promote access to core vocabulary.
- Target how core vocabulary can be embedded within preschool routines.
- Recognize the benefits of creating a core community which includes family engagement.
